Calendar of the applications for studies

Application to study for a full year or for the first fall semester

If you apply to study for a full year or for the first fall semester and take courses in one of the programs of the Master in Chemistry, here is the procedure and calendar. This must be undertaken in the school year (n-1) preceding your arrival in Grenoble (school year n). To select your courses, refer to the program section of this web site or to the UGA course catalog  (some pages are in French).

  • Fall or winter semester n-1 : Get in touch with the international affairs of your home university
  • February to May n-1 : Official nomination by your home university. The International Affairs need to send the completed Incoming Exchange Student spreadsheet to the Department of Chemistry and Biology coordinator
  • Before May 31st n-1 : Fill in an application and send it with all required documents to the Department of Chemistry and Biology coordinator
  • Early June n-1 : Pre-register on-line (you will receive a link through email, that is why it is important that you provide us with a valid email address) once you have been accepted (see as an example the information sheet 2016).
  • End June – Early July n-1 : Application for accommodation through UGA (you will receive an email to apply)
  • End August – beginning september : Arrive in Grenoble and register in the Department of Chemistry and Biology International Affairs Office – Chemistry building E - 407 rue de la chimie (see attached map).

 

Application to study for the second spring semester

If you apply to study for the second spring semester and take courses in one of the programs of the Master in Chemistry, here is the procedure and calendar. To select your courses, refer to the program section of this web site  or to the UGA course catalog  (sorry some pages are in French).

  • Fall semester : Get in touch with the international affairs of your home university
  • September to mid-october : Official nomination by your home university. The International Affairs need to send the completed Incoming Exchange Student spreadsheet to the Department of Chemistry and Biology coordinator
  • Before November 1st : Fill in an application and send it with all required documents to the Department of Chemistry and Biology coordinator
  • Early November : Pre-register on-line (you will receive a link through email, that is why it is important that you provide us with a valid email address) once you have been accepted (see as an example the information sheet 2016).
  • Early to mid-november : Application for accommodation through UGA (you will receive an email to apply)
  • Early january : Arrive in Grenoble and register in the Department of Chemistry and Biology International Affairs Office – Chemistry building E - 407 rue de la chimie (see attached map).
