Welcome to the website of the Master in Chemistry

The Master in Chemistry of the Université Grenoble Alpes is a two-year diploma course (M1 and M2).

The first year (M1) is common to the 4 specialitites of M2:

Progressive specialization

During this Master, specialization is progressive. The first semester of M1 allows students to acquire the essential skills to any type of chemist (in particular analytical methods, spectroscopies, experimental and bibliographic techniques, English, preparation for professional integration).

During the second semester of M1, a choice of options and a training period of 2 to 5 months allows them to consolidate their professional project and to move towards a specialized M2 course.

The year of M2 allows a deepening of knowledge in the following areas:
  • Chemistry at the interface with biology (Chemistry for Life Sciences- CLS),
  • Organic Synthesis (Organic Synthesis / Organic Synthesis for the Pharmaceutical and Agrochemical Industries - SO-IPA),
  • Polymer chemistry (Polymers for Advanced Technologies - PTA)
  • Sale (ChemTechCo - CTC),
